MATERIALS
White typing paper
Crafts glue
Tweezers
Sheer white ribbon
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut twenty-five 1
/'4x8//2-inch strips from
white typing paper. Fold one strip in half
to measure 4/'4 inches. Open the strip up
and bring each end in to the center fold to
make a strip that measures 1
/4x2//8 inches.
Glue the layers of the strip together for
11
/4 inches, beginning at the center fold.
Curl the unglued ends of the paper strip in
opposite directions, creating a scroll shape.
Repeat with five additional strips to make
six pieces.
Stack two strips of paper together, hold
the center with tweezers, and overlap the
ends slightly. Put a dot of glue on one side
of the end, and pinch to form an oval; let
glue set. Make six ovals.
Using the same method, make six smaller
ovals for the snowflake tips, using one strip
for each oval.
For the center, roll a strip into a tight
circle, holding the center with tweezers.
Use a dot of glue to secure the end; let glue
set. Arrange the snowflake pieces and large
ovals around the center circle, alternating
the shapes. Glue the shapes to the center
circle and to each other; let glue set. Glue
a small oval between the scrolls at the end
of the arm.
Let ornament dry overnight. Thread
ribbon to create the hanging loop.
